Dr. Tarun Kumar

Dr. Tarun Kumar is a Consultant in Gastroenterology at Jaipur Golden Hospital and Saroj Super Speciality Hospital in Rohini, Delhi. He is also associated with Sehgal Neo Hospital in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. He specialises in all aspects of simple and complex gastroenterology problems and all kinds of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures. In the past he has been associated as Consultant with Fortis Hospital (Shalimar Bagh) and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in New Delhi.

Dr. Tarun Kumar has performed over 10,000 upper GI endoscopies, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions like endoscopic variceal band ligation and endoscopic sclerosing therapy for acute variceal bleed, glue injection for gastric variceal bleed, polypectomy, electrocoagulation and injection therapy for ulcer bleed, argon plasma coagulation for upper GI bleed, narrow band imaging for diagnosis of Barrett's Esophagus and malignancy of upper GIT. He is also proficient in colonoscopy, having performed some 2000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including polypectomy, argon plasma coagulation and piles banding. He also has considerable experience in ERCP (biliary stone removal, stricture management, stent placement), liver biopsy and fibroscan for diagnosis of liver fibrosis, and many other GI procedures.

Dr. Tarun Kumar has been regularly involved in research and teaching activities. He has served as faculty at national and international conferences, and presented research abstracts at conferences of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL). He has two original articles to his credit in peer-reviewed journals.
